Requirements
- Assess and monitor patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit with attentiveness and clinical judgment
- Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms to detect changes early
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
- Document care in the medical record in a timely, clear, and compliant manner
- Respond to acute changes and emergencies with calm, evidence-based actions
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to meet Hawaii licensure or compact requirements)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Comfortable and experienced with telemetry monitoring and med-surg patient population
- Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
- Able to complete facility credentialing, background check, and health requirements
