Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: TRAVERSE CITY, MI

Pay Range: Based on Experience

Shift:
1st Shift: 6:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday
2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday-Friday
3rd Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am Sunday-Thursday, overtime Saturday if needed

What's the Job?

• Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment during operations.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments to machinery.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

What's Needed?

• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform active duties including standing, walking, bending, and climbing frequently.
• Use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Commitment to safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
