We are Hiring Immediately for a Assembly position!
Position Overview
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling components and subassemblies in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and demonstrated carpentry experience to ensure precision in assembly and fit.
Key Responsibilities
· Review and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, specifications, and parts lists to determine required materials, tools, and processes.
· Assemble components and subassemblies by accurately measuring, positioning, and securing parts using appropriate tools and techniques.
· Perform carpentry-related tasks, including measuring, cutting, fitting, fastening, and finishing.
· Inspect completed assemblies to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
· Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions or collaborating with the supervisor to obtain necessary resources.
· Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.
· Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
· Monitor inventory of tools and materials, notifying supervisor of shortages and assisting with replenishment.
· Complete required production, quality, and safety documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support team efforts to meet project deadlines and quality objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
· Proven experience in assembly, carpentry or related trades (e.g., woodworking, controls, instrumentation, or electrical experience is an asset).
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and written instructions.
· Knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques, hand and power tools, and carpentry practices.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make accurate adjustments to ensure fit and finish.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
· Demonstrated ability to train and share knowledge with team members.
· Strong organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills.
· Willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet project requirements.
· Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication). Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks including bending, stooping, crouching, and overhead work.
· Frequent use of hands and arms, sometimes in conjunction with power tools.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and 100 lbs. with assistance.
· Work is performed in both indoor (non-climate-controlled) and outdoor environments, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying conditions.
