Title: Medical Lab Technologist

Duration: 13+ Weeks + High possibility of extension

Location: Bartlett, TN 38133

Schedule Notes: Day and Night 5x8-Hour 

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank
• Analyze specimens and interpret test results with accuracy
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Follow established laboratory protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Perform quality control procedures and troubleshoot any discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and hospital policies
• Collect, label, process, and store patient specimens properly
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely transport of specimens
• Record test results accurately in the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Communicate critical values to physicians and nursing staff promptly
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper PPE usage

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• Certification as an MLT/MLS (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical lab experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of lab procedures, equipment, and quality control
