Job Title: Maintenance Trainee
Purpose/Introduction
Performance Pipe, A Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., LP., an injection molding manufacturer of polyethylene pipe fittings, located in Bloomfield, IA is seeking a full time employee for Maintenance trainee position. Excellent starting salary at $24.47/hour.
Available position requires the ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment. The plant operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Overtime may be required which includes weekends. Applicants must be 18 years or older, high school education or GED is required in addition to a valid driver’s license. Must be verified before hiring.
We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate who has a demonstrated work history of shift work, in addition to working injury free and following work place/plant safety practices and procedures. Experience in a manufacturing environment-injection molding process experience a plus.

· Must be a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
· Must be well organized in handling a variety of tasks.
· Must have the ability to work overtime as required.
· Must have the ability to stand/walk throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
· Candidate must have basic computer skills and possess a good understanding in math.
· Must have either 2 years of technical training or a minimum of 5 years maintenance position experience in an industrial environment.
· Must be able to use measuring equipment and gauges typically required by a Maintenance Technician.
· Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
· Must have the ability to read and understand drawings, prints and schematics.
Responsibilities (continued)
· Must be able to perform welding and cutting tasks.
· Must understand and have the ability to work safely with electricity up to and including 480 volts.
· Experience with computer controlled equipment, PLC’s, HVAC and process water systems would be a plus.
· Must pass all MOBI requirements for forklifts and cranes and possess the ability to operate this equipment.
· Proficient in communicating in English language (both verbal and written).
