General Description

The Parts Manager is responsible for working with vendors to check in, quality inspect/mirror match, organize & complete orders/returns all the parts necessary for repairs or requiring return. Verifying parts for correctness and quality, distributing parts to technicians, and maintaining the parts management system. Identifying then following up on any parts that are past-due on delivery/delayed and making sure vendors have supplied the actual part ordered. The parts manager works closely with the vendors and technicians to ensure that the right parts are ordered and received on time, every time.

job Responsibilities

• • Process parts orders immediately upon receipt of completed estimate
  • Process orders, forms, and applications
  • Responsible for receiving parts from delivery personnel and verifying parts for correctness and ensuring that they are not damaged
  • Labeling parts with appropriate identification
  • Distribution of parts. Running parts
  • Knowing the status of parts for all of their vehicles and proactively ensuring that all parts are available when needed. Communicating all parts order delays to production manager in a timely basis
  • Maintain 24-hour turnaround time for returns on damaged or incorrect parts received
  • Minimizes cost of lost, broken and damages parts
  • Manage parts and supplies, maintain inventory levels, and order as needed
  • Negotiating and working with parts suppliers
