Position Overview:Neighborhood Health Association is seeking a dynamic and experiencedDirector ofQualityand Performance Improvementto lead ourqualityinitiatives and drive organizational excellence. In this pivotal leadership role, you will collaborate across all business operations to enhancequalitymeasures, oversee accreditation requirements, and celebrate the outstanding work of our providers. We are looking for an energetic leader who thrives in detail-oriented environments and is eager to expand their management skills in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive organizational strategy focused on continuousqualityimprovement and performance enhancement.
- Subject Matter Expert:Serve as a champion forqualitymeasures, best practices, and patient satisfaction, working closely with leadership to drive improvements.
- Risk Management:Lead and manage risk management efforts, identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration:Foster collaboration among departments to control costs, mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Accreditation Oversight:Monitor changes from accreditation bodies and update policies accordingly. Serve as the primary contact for site visits, overseeing the completion of Plans of Correction (POC) and finalizing accreditation findings.
- Team Leadership:Direct and mentor theQualityImprovement Staff, leading initiatives that promote a culture of excellence.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Health Services, Public Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience in community health or FQHC setting in lieu of education will be highly considered.
- Preferred certifications: Certified HealthcareQualityProfessional (CPHQ) or Certified Black Belt (Lean, Six Sigma).
Job Requirements/Skills:
- Proven experience in managing professional staff, and setting and maintaining clear performance standards.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including accreditation standards applicable to FQHCs and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and managing strategic plans and implementing organizational goals effectively.
- Experience in assessments, accreditation reviews, or audits, with a strong understanding of performance standards.
- Proficient knowledge of medical practices and procedures within a primary care environment.
- Highly competent utilizing tools and technologies commonly found in progressive healthcare settings, including EMR systems.
- Strong understanding of population health management and preventive health screening standards.
-This is a full-time, exempt salary position, Monday Friday, no weekends or holidays
