Operates machinery to mix raw materials into finished products based on strict, detailed batch formulas and safety protocols. Key responsibilities include weighing/measuring ingredients, operating pumps and agitators, conducting quality samples, and managing inventory/hazardous materials. This is a physically demanding, often high-paced, and safety-sensitive role.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Blending Operations: Set up, operate, and clean mixing tanks, blenders, pumps, and scales to create mixtures according to formula sheets.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (masks, goggles, gloves), and maintaining a clean workspace (6S/housekeeping).
- Quality Control: Weigh ingredients precisely, ensure accurate material usage, take samples for testing, and ensure batches meet specifications before packaging.
- Documentation: Accurately complete batch records, inventory logs, and raw material tracking.
- Material Handling: Safely transport raw materials, often requiring forklift operation to handle 55-gallon drums
