Recreation Manager

Our Peabody location has a variety of spaces for recreational and sports programs including a 60-yard 
turf field, a basketball court also lined with 3 Pickleball courts, an indoor swimming pool, a climbing wall, 
2 racquetball courts, and a party/event room. We are looking for a full-time Recreation Manager to 
oversee our recreation programs and also work with the organizations/teams that reserve space from 
us.  

Experience that will set you up for success: 

• At least 1 year experience working in a recreational setting, health club, summer camp, and/or 
• as a coach 
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with at least 2 years' experience working 
• with customers in person, on the phone, and via email 
•  Excellent attention to detail with experience scheduling and organizing events and/or sports 
• activities 
• Passionate about working with children and young adults in an active setting 

What you will be doing: 

• Contribute to the overall experience of both members and recreation participants, which 
• includes working with the management team and being knowledgeable in all aspects of the 
• facility: recreation, operations, membership, fitness.  
• Responding to inquiries about recreation programs as well as requests to reserve club spaces 
• as well as diligent follow up, creating agreements and scheduling 
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly revenue goal with a focus on new programs 
• Manage all space reservations, birthday parties, special events, summer programs, which 
• includes actively working some of the events 
• Act as the lead host of birthday parties which includes facilitating the activities as well as 
• assisting the parent in the party room 
• Schedule and coach staff who assist with any recreation programs 
• Oversee the scheduling, programming, and use of climbing wall (training provided) 

Compensation and Schedule: 
This is a full-time salary position with bonus incentives.  Health Insurance, 401K, and Paid 
Time-off are available after the waiting period.  Includes a free gym membership.  The weekly 
schedule includes evening hours and a weekend day.
