Position Overview:


We are partnering with a growing, people-focused general contractor to hire an experienced Traveling Superintendent. This role is responsible for leading on-site construction operations across multiple projects nationwide, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to project completion
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field labor to ensure alignment with project scope
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Develop and maintain project schedules; proactively address delays or conflicts
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure quality control and adherence to plans/specifications
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain clear communication across all stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation
  • Ensure jobsite organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
  • Support project closeout, including punch lists and final inspections

 

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • 3–5+ years in a Superintendent or lead field role
  • Strong experience with ground-up and/or tenant improvement projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • OSHA certification (OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency with construction management software and basic computer tools
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively

 

Travel Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel extensively and stay on-site for the duration of projects
  • Projects may be located nationwide, with potential for extended assignments
