Field Electrician - Well Drilling & Pivot Systems

About the Role
We’re a growing water well drilling and center pivot irrigation installation company based in San Antonio looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our field team. You’ll handle the electrical side of submersible well pumps, VFD drives, control panels, and full center pivot irrigation systems across South Texas farms and ranches. If you love working outdoors, troubleshooting real-world electrical problems, and helping local agriculture thrive with reliable water systems, this is the spot.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on submersible water well pumps, motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
• Wire and program irrigation pivot control panels, timers, sensors, and automation components
• Run conduit and wiring for new well pump installations and complete pivot systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical issues in the field on pumps and pivots
• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment
• Work closely with our pump and irrigation crews to get water systems up and running smoothly
• Keep accurate service records and follow all safety standards

Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience, skills, and interview. Overtime opportunities available on larger pump and pivot installation projects — full details discussed during the interview.

What You Bring
• Active Texas Journeyman Electrician license (required)
• 3+ years of experience with industrial or agricultural electrical work (well pumps, irrigation systems, or similar is a big plus)
• Strong knowledge of 3-phase power, VFDs, motor controls, and low-voltage systems
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and traveling to job sites around South Texas
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely at heights or in tight spaces
• Bonus if you’ve worked with center pivot irrigation or well pump installations before
