Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional (standard Para-62), certified nursing assistant (CNA-64), or registered behavior technician (RBT-67) is highly valued

• Knowledge of classroom management strategies is desirable
• Must be able to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans when necessary

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans, classroom activities, and individualized support
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students requiring additional guidance, including those with special educational or behavioral needs
• Encourage student engagement and positive social interactions
• Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Support students with mobility or physical needs, including basic care or behavior assistance where applicable
• Document student progress and share observations with teaching and support staff
