- Integrate electrical assemblies with mechanical systems, perform wiring harness assembly and routing, and ensure robust connectors and physical installs.
- Document test procedures, test results, failure investigations, and corrective actions in JIRA and PLM/ERP systems; maintain accurate build records.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive design-for-manufacture solutions and to support prototype iterations and production launches.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting improvements to assembly processes, test flow, and documentation to increase yield and reduce rework.
- Adhere to applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all assembly, test, and repair activities.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience; Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PCB, PCBA, and electrical assembly in a product development or manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and component datasheets.
- Proven troubleshooting skills across PCB, electrical systems, and basic mechanical integration; experience fault-isolating at component and system levels.
- Experience with test equipment and systems (TES) including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and automated test fixtures.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with JIRA for issue tracking and PLM/ERP systems for document and inventory control.
- Working knowledge of wiring practices, cable assembly, connectors, and harness routing.
- Proficiency with hand soldering, rework of PCBA, and use of assembly tools; IPC-A-610 awareness is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced development cycles.
