The OpportunityA busy outpatient radiology department in Syracuse, NY is looking for a Medical Radiologic Technologist to join a collaborative team focused on high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. - Review and interpret physician orders accurately under department supervision
- Position patients and apply immobilization devices to ensure diagnostic image quality
- Operate radiologic equipment and adjust exposure settings for optimal results
- Perform general radiography, DEXA imaging, and C-arm assistance in the OR
- Evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic completeness prior to submission
- Apply ALARA principles through proper collimation, shielding, and exposure techniques to protect patients and staff
- Maintain sterile technique during OR C-arm procedures
- Work within PACS, RIS, and EMS systems to support efficient department operations
- Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Keep work areas stocked and ready; collaborate with the broader radiology team
Required
- Associate's Degree in Medical Radiography
- Current ARRT certification and registration
- Active state licensure as required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Additional specialty certification may be required depending on assigned area
Preferred
- 1–2+ years of radiologic technologist experience
- Outpatient radiology background
- Familiarity with OR imaging and C-arm procedures
