Job Description
Location: Tulsa, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $19–$20/hour + $2/hour shift differential
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position OverviewTrinity Employment Specialists is seeking an experienced VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) Operator for a 2nd shift opportunity with a stable manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating large vertical lathes in a production or heavy manufacturing environment.
Objective:Ensures that 1) tank heads are beveled and tapered in accordance with the specifications set out on their Job Travelers and 2) the measurements of the finished tank heads fall within the allowed tolerances.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow shop safety and environmental rules
- Machine heads and dies to specific tolerances using manual vertical and horizontal lathes.
- Report quality issues, including defects and damage to the supervisor in charge
- Coordinate with other departments as needed to accomplish objectives
- Comply with the industry standards and safety regulations
- Complete all tasks as delegated by the supervisor in charge
- Manage time and work efficiently to meet production deadlines
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Move materials with a forklift
- Previous VTL operating experience preferred
- Experience in machining or heavy manufacturing
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and safety-focused mindset
- Ability to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday)
