Job Description
We are representing a well-established general contractor actively seeking a skilled Superintendent who specializes in Interiors with 5+ years of experience overseeing commercial interior construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in tenant improvements, office buildouts, and fast-paced commercial interior renovations.
The right candidate will bring field leadership, schedule control, and strong subcontractor coordination skills to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all onsite construction activities for interior/tenant improvement projects
Direct and supervise field labor, subcontractors, and vendors across all trades
Develop and maintain project schedules with clear milestones and sequencing
Conduct daily jobsite meetings, safety walks, and progress reviews
Ensure adherence to project drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and material staging with minimal impact to occupied spaces
Proactively resolve field issues in real time to avoid schedule delays or rework
Maintain site safety compliance, toolbox talks, and proper documentation
Collaborate with Project Managers and engineers on RFIs, change orders, and site logistics
Oversee quality assurance throughout the build and final punch process
Ensure timely project closeout and turnover to client
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial interiors or tenant improvement projects
Background working for a general contractor on corporate, office, healthcare, or retail interiors
Strong scheduling skills (MS Project or Primavera preferred)
Working knowledge of interior systems including MEP coordination, framing, drywall, finishes, and millwork
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple trades
Detail-oriented and safety-focused, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience in occupied space remodels a plus
Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and other field documentation tools preferred
OSHA 30 certification preferred
