Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Daycare Custodian / Teacher Assistant. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children and staff, while also providing occasional classroom support during staff breaks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily laundry duties (bedding, linens, etc.)
• Clean and maintain hallway floors
• Handle mid-day trash collection and disposal
• Light mopping during naptime as needed
• Clean interior windows and glass surfaces
• Perform routine carpet cleaning and upkeep
• Maintain general cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility
• Step in as a Teacher Assistant during staff breaks, supporting classroom activities and supervision

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Comfortable working in a childcare environment
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, and childcare is a plus
• Must pass a background check
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) required
