Assistant Superintendent

Summary

We are representing a well-established General Contractor seeking a qualified Assistant Superintendent to support field operations across multifamily and/or commercial ground-up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to coordinate day-to-day site activities in partnership with the lead Superintendent and Project Management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations on active jobsites

• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials, manpower, and equipment align with the schedule

• Help manage jobsite logistics, deliveries, inspections, and safety compliance

• Attend subcontractor meetings and support daily huddles or look-ahead planning

• Review and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure proper execution in the field

• Maintain daily reports, field photos, and Procore documentation

• Monitor quality assurance and punchlist items alongside field leadership

• Support enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies at all times

• Serve as a liaison between field crews and project management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction with a general contractor

• Experience on multifamily and/or commercial projects (ground-up or large-scale renovations)

• Strong field coordination and construction documentation experience

• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
