Job Description
Summary
We are representing a well-established General Contractor seeking a qualified Assistant Superintendent to support field operations across multifamily and/or commercial ground-up and renovation projects. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of construction experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to coordinate day-to-day site activities in partnership with the lead Superintendent and Project Management team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, hands-on environments and is looking to advance into a full Superintendent role with a builder committed to quality and long-term team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the lead Superintendent in overseeing daily field operations on active jobsites
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure materials, manpower, and equipment align with the schedule
Help manage jobsite logistics, deliveries, inspections, and safety compliance
Attend subcontractor meetings and support daily huddles or look-ahead planning
Review and interpret drawings and specifications to ensure proper execution in the field
Maintain daily reports, field photos, and Procore documentation
Monitor quality assurance and punchlist items alongside field leadership
Support enforcement of OSHA and company safety policies at all times
Serve as a liaison between field crews and project management
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction with a general contractor
Experience on multifamily and/or commercial projects (ground-up or large-scale renovations)
Strong field coordination and construction documentation experience
Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools
Excellent communication and leadership skills
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
