Superintendent - Commercial

Position Overview
The Base Building Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations for large commercial construction projects throughout North Carolina. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans while managing subcontractors and coordinating with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction operations for large commercial base building projects.

• Coordinate subcontractors and field crews to maintain project schedules.

• Ensure work meets project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

• Work closely with Project Managers to monitor project progress and milestones.

• Lead jobsite safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.

• Manage inspections, testing, and project documentation.

• Resolve field conflicts and coordinate solutions to maintain project timelines.

• Oversee project punch list and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working for a general contractor on commercial construction projects.

• Strong experience with ground-up commercial base building construction.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.

• Strong leadership and jobsite management skills.

• Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety practices.
