Job Title: Deburring Operator – 2nd Shift

Overview Summary
We are seeking a Deburring Operator to support manufacturing operations by setting up and adjusting specialized tooling and equipment for deburring and tapping processes. This role is responsible for ensuring production readiness, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment. The position may also provide guidance to team members and step into a lead role when needed.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday; 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM)

Pay
BOE – $17.00-$20.00/hour

Key Responsibilities
Perform setup duties to prepare deburring and tapping machines for production.
Install, adjust, align, and change tooling and equipment as required.
Analyze machine and process issues and determine appropriate solutions.
Support engineering changes to products and processes in accordance with quality standards.
Monitor production processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.
Ensure materials and packaging are available, accurate, and meet quality standards throughout production.
Conduct inspections to approve job startup and perform periodic quality checks.
Train and assist operators in proper inspection techniques and machine operation.
Maintain equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
Provide instruction on machine setup, operation, and process documentation.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, and documentation errors.
Support corrective and preventative actions to maintain production standards.
Plan ahead to ensure smooth transitions between production jobs.
Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
Assist with training new employees and provide guidance in the absence of leadership.

Skills & Experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Experience using measuring tools and basic inspection equipment.
Strong understanding of machine setup and manufacturing processes.
Ability to troubleshoot production and equipment issues.
Basic computer skills for documentation and process tracking.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Experience setting up deburring and tapping machines
Knowledge of assembly processes and material flow
Ability to meet production output and quality requirements consistently
Experience operating hand tools, machines, and equipment with minimal supervision
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attendance and dependability

Work Environment
Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels
Occasional exposure to electrical hazards

Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands and fingers
Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
