Summary
We are representing a reputable General Contractor actively seeking a skilled Superintendent with 5+ years of field leadership experience. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully led the construction of ground-up, core & shell commercial projects, including office, mixed-use, or institutional developments.
This position requires a hands-on leader who excels at field coordination, trade sequencing, and schedule management. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for quality, communicates effectively with subcontractors and ownership teams, and thrives in fast-paced environments where safety and execution are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day field operations on base building projects, including structural, concrete, and MEP scopes
Manage subcontractors, foremen, and field crews across multiple trades
Coordinate all construction activities to maintain project schedule and critical path milestones
Conduct daily site walks and enforce high standards of jobsite safety and cleanliness
Lead coordination with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
Conduct site logistics planning and oversee delivery schedules and material staging
Maintain and update daily logs, look-ahead schedules, and manpower reports
Assist with QA/QC inspections and punch-list completion through project turnover
Serve as the primary field point of contact for clients and internal teams
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of superintendent experience with a General Contractor
Proven background managing ground-up, base building, or core & shell projects
Deep understanding of building systems, sequencing, and trade coordination
Strong ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
OSHA 30 certified; additional safety credentials a plus
Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera
Excellent communication, leadership, and field documentation skills
Ability to manage large teams and complex sites independently
