Cafeteria Staff

As a member of the Cub Care Cafeteria Staff, you will be expected to assist the Site Director, Assistant Director, and Teaching Teams in maintaining a high-quality program in compliance with OCFS regulations regarding safety, facility cleanliness, and a well-maintained environment.

Looking for Now-Late June and Returning Next School Year Late August

9:00 AM-2:00 PM

The position is 25 Hours per Week.

• Serve snack and lunch to all students in the center with help of classroom teachers and assistants.
• Collect, count, and call in student lunch count daily.
• Maintain inventory of milk and snack rotation-place orders with the school district.
• Set-up and wipe down tables before and after each meal time.
• General daily cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of the kitchen area.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Take out trash and recycling at the end of the day.
• Wipe down sinks, counters, etc.
• Maintain and Order Food Inventory in conjunction with the Vestal School District/BOCES Food Service Provider
• Other Weekly or Monthly tasks as assigned by the Site Director.
• Stay current on all regulations as set forth by the state of New York with regard to the operation of a Child Care Center with regard to food handling and ensure compliance with those regulations in all areas of the program that you are directly responsible for.
• Attend training as required pertaining to the position.
• Must exercise confidentiality with regard to information pertaining to the operations of the facility or any information regarding families, or staff members.
• Report any serious accidents or incidents or safety concerns regarding the facility, yourself, or staff member to the Site Director.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
