Responsibilities

  • Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision.
  • Administer injections of psychiatric medications and TB tests as medically necessary.
  • Prepare patients for psychiatric evaluations and/or medication reviews.
  • Assist providers with clinical tasks including medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including detailed patient notes.
  • Support medical administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
  • Ensure compliance in an outpatient clinic setting.

 

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
  • Skilled in performing clinical procedures such as medication administration and vital signs collection.
  • Proficient in using EHR systems.
  • Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
  • Ability to support teams in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working telephone
  • Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license and valid auto insurance
  • Ability to travel using personal vehicle to other locations
  • Pass all regulatory checks
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Medical Assistant Certification registered through the American Association of Medical Assistants or another accredited entity.
