Summary of the Role

This position focuses on managing loaner and consignment surgical trays within Sterile Processing (SPD), ensuring they are accurate, sterile, tracked, and available when needed.

Duration: 13-week contract to permanent position
Location: Elmhurst, IL
Shift: 3rd shift (11pm-730am)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all incoming/outgoing trays and verify their contents before and after sterilization.
  • Work closely with vendors, clinical teams, and SPD staff to ensure timely and correct processing.
  • Track tray movement throughout the full cycle and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Oversee daily workflow, prioritize production, and resolve delays or bottlenecks.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams and external partners, acting as a liaison.
  • Maintain data accuracy, generate reports, and ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of SPD experience (especially with loaner/consignment trays)
  • Strong coordination, organization, and communication skills
  • Experience with tracking systems and reporting tools
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
