Direct Support Staff- (In Person)-Sweet Home, OR

We are seeking a Direct Support Staff for both DSA and Small Group Supported Employment-I/DD-5YR Clean MVR-Mon-Friday to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly and disabled individuals.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily activities of their choice in a facility or community setting
• Communicate ongoing care results by entering daily progress notes and updates to relevant parties
• Collaborate with clients and families and team for best care opportunities
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable working/social environment
• Picking up/dropping off every client in your group for their daily entitled services
• Logging mileage/rides and job types into Fleetio (tracking system) for payments/reimbursements
• Supervising your group in every setting, keeping them safe and being their voice when necessary

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in personal care or other related fields helpful but not required
• Compassionate and caring demeanor with conflict resolution skills consistent with I/DD practices
• Ability to build rapport with clients and focus on each individual's needs and personal goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
• Clean Pre-Employment Drug Screen
• Must pass a background check and potentially provide fingerprints
• Must have 5 years clean driving record
