Composite Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Composite Technician with hands-on expertise in composite materials manufacturing and bonding processes. Ideal candidates will have experience working with aerospace, automotive, marine, or similar high-precision composite applications.

Key Responsibilities

Composite Lay-Up Operations

• Perform hand lay-up of pre-impregnated materials including:
  • Graphite
  • Fiberglass
  • Kevlar
  • Similar composite materials
• Complete tool setup, inspection, cleaning, and mold release preparation
• Place and form composite plies against tool surfaces while maintaining correct fiber orientation per engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications
• Perform vacuum bagging for debulk and cure cycles following proper bleeder calculations and bagging procedures
• Maintain strict material inspection and cleanliness standards throughout the lay-up process

Bonding & Assembly

• Bond composite and metallic materials including:
  • Cured graphite
  • Fiberglass
  • Aluminum
  • Titanium
  • Other composite structures
• Perform proper bond surface preparation
• Mix and apply epoxy adhesives using correct pressure and securing methods to achieve required bond integrity
• Assist with bonding and assembly of cured graphite or aluminum skins to honeycomb structures
• Prepare, bond, and pot inserts into panel assemblies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in composites manufacturing, composite lay-up, bonding, or related field required
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with vacuum bagging and curing processes preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Aerospace or advanced manufacturing experience is a plus
