Requirements
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients during overnight shifts
- Assess and monitor complex, critically ill patients using hemodynamic and ventilator data
- Administer medications and titrate drips safely according to protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
- Perform timely and accurate documentation in the EHR to support continuity of care
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in codes or rapid response teams
- Educate patients and families with compassion and clear communication during stressful times
- Active RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure prior to start
- Minimum 2+ years of ICU or critical care nursing experience (explicit requirement)
- Current BLS certification; ACLS highly recommended or willingness to obtain
- Travel nurse readiness: up-to-date immunizations, background check and required credentials
- Strong clinical judgment, ability to work independently overnight and excellent teamwork skills
