Requirements
- Provide rapid assessment and compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages
- Perform triage and stabilization for critically ill or injured patients
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, coordinating patient flow and staff assignments
- Precept and mentor new nurses to maintain a strong, confident ED team
- Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, and perform interventions per protocol
- Document thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary services to ensure timely, high-quality care
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Active RN license in the State of Maine (required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- PALS is a plus
- Previous Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Previous charge nurse and preceptor experience (required)
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and flexible with occasional schedule adjustments
