Summary:
We are currently hiring for the position of Full time Nurse Practitioner - Infusion Center Supervisor. This position is responsible for leading the IC clinic team to provide comprehensive care, including the assessment, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with chronic health needs in an outpatient setting. Schedule is four 10 hour shifts weekly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the IC staff including managing the clinic staffing plan, conducting interviews with candidates, making selection recommendations, setting objectives and goals for staff, implementing a site training and communication plan and providing on-going feedback and training to staff. Reviewing employee performance through performance evaluations and competencies. Approving timecards, PTO and other personnel administrative duties.
- Providing patient and family centered IV infusion care. Facilitating consistent, coordinated care and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team. Incorporating the patient and family in infusion care. Serving as an advocate for patients and families.
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with physicians, health professionals, health related agencies, patients and families. Working effectively with multidisciplinary team members. Promoting mutual respect and trust working within a team model. Reviewing, updating and recommending relevant clinical, administrative policies, procedures and education to help assure high quality patient care.
- Actively participating in quality initiatives. Maintaining accurate and timely records and reports. Participating in patient service and program reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing school. Current unrestricted board certification to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State where you practice. May substitute a degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant school with an active, unrestricted license. Must have a current BLS certification.
Experience: 2 years of experience as an NP in a clinical setting required or 3+ years as a Registered Nurse with oncology, ER, ICU, and/or infusion center experience and 1-2 years of experience managing other employees. Must demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
