Position Summary
Frisbie Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced CAD operator for a sheet metal position to join our team immediately. Reporting to the Drafting Supervisor, this role is responsible for producing accurate and timely drawings that support the successful execution of construction and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Drafting Supervisor on each project to transfer specifications and concepts into detailed drawings
- Coordinate with the Drafting Supervisor to determine project requirements, priorities, and deadlines
- Organize and manage multiple drawing assignments while meeting established timelines
- Prepare completed drawing sets for distribution to appropriate departments
- Assist with job site measurements and field note documentation as requested
Skills and Requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2012 or newer)
- Knowledge of or the ability and willingness to transition into SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of blueprints, drawings, and construction documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively
- Sound decision-making abilities and attention to detail
