Superintendent

Summary

A reputable general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on DSA, K-12, and public works projects from mobilization through closeout.

This role is responsible for managing jobsite execution, subcontractors, scheduling, and safety while ensuring full compliance with DSA requirements and public agency standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience in regulated environments and can run projects in active or occupied settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on DSA, K-12, and public works projects
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and jobsite coordination
• Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules and sequencing
• Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, inspections, and documentation
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and regulatory approvals
• Enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
• Lead jobsite meetings and maintain communication with project teams
• Review drawings and identify constructability issues
• Manage jobsite logistics, material deliveries, and site organization
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and documentation
• Oversee punch list and project closeout

Requirements

• 7–15+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor
• Strong experience with DSA, K-12, or public works projects required
• Proven ability to run projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Experience working with public agencies and inspectors
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience working on occupied campuses or phased construction
• Familiarity with lease-leaseback, design-build, or CM at risk
• Knowledge of DSA inspections, documentation, and compliance processes
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling tools
• OSHA 30 certification
