Job Description
We are representing a reputable general contractor seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee field operations on large-scale, ground-up commercial and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who excels at coordinating subcontractors, keeping schedules on track, and solving problems in real time while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the overall project schedule, including look-ahead and recovery plans
Direct day-to-day field operations including manpower, equipment, deliveries, and site logistics
Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Lead daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA requirements through proactive jobsite inspections
Maintain project documentation including RFIs, daily reports, photos, and logs using Microsoft Office and Procore/PlanGrid
Coordinate with agencies and inspectors for required testing and reporting
Mentor assistant superintendents, foremen, and project engineers to develop high-performing teams
Track productivity, labor hours, and cost codes; forecast resource needs
Resolve unforeseen field challenges quickly to maintain schedule integrity
Qualifications:
5–10+ years of progressive field leadership experience on ground-up commercial projects valued $20M+
Proven track record as lead Superintendent on multiple large-scale projects from start to finish
Strong multifamily project experience recommended
Advanced scheduling skills with proficiency in MS Project
Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, or similar field-management tools
Solid knowledge of construction methods, cost control, and field logistics
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams
