Machinist – Maple Grove, MN (Direct Hire)

$52,000 – $67,000 | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

We are immediately hiring a skilled Machinist for a long-term, direct-hire opportunity in Maple Grove. This is a stable, family-owned manufacturer with extremely low turnover and a strong reputation in EDM and mold-making since 1975.

If you can run machines, hold tight tolerances, and take ownership of your work on the shop floor—this is worth a serious look.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC vertical mills, lathes, band saws, and surface grinders
• Work primarily with graphite materials for precision components
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work instructions
• Perform full setups including tooling, fixturing, and machine adjustments
• Execute saw cutting, grinding, six-side machining, and finishing work
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make in-process adjustments
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality compliance
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area (5S mindset)

What We're Looking For

• Strong CNC machining or setup experience (mills, lathes, grinders)
• Ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings
• Comfortable working with tight tolerances and precision work
• Hands-on mechanical problem-solving ability
• Experience with setup, tooling, or machine troubleshooting strongly preferred
• Graphite, EDM, mold-making, or similar background is a plus
• CNC programming experience is a strong advantage (not required)
