Summary
We are currently representing a well-established construction firm with over 15 years of experience delivering complex projects across California. Specializing in Healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI), Federal, Public Works, and Educational construction, the company is known for exceeding industry standards and prioritizing both quality and safety. They are actively seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead jobsite operations and ensure successful delivery of high-impact projects.
Responsibilities
Manage daily on-site construction activities and ensure alignment with project plans and safety standards
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules and resources
Supervise and mentor foremen and site staff, promoting a positive and high-performing team culture
Conduct frequent site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and maintain quality benchmarks
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure field accuracy
Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activity, address issues, and manage deliveries
Lead on-site safety enforcement, conduct safety meetings, and ensure all compliance protocols are followed
Support budget tracking, identify cost-saving measures, and ensure operational efficiency
Maintain daily field logs, progress photos, and accurate jobsite documentation
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with commercial or institutional projects
At least 2 years of experience managing Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated projects is required
Strong working knowledge of construction processes, methods, and current building codes
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver projects on time and within budget
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external partners
Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar
OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are a plus
