Superintendent

Summary

We are currently representing a well-established construction firm with over 15 years of experience delivering complex projects across California. Specializing in Healthcare (OSHPD/HCAI), Federal, Public Works, and Educational construction, the company is known for exceeding industry standards and prioritizing both quality and safety. They are actively seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead jobsite operations and ensure successful delivery of high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site construction activities and ensure alignment with project plans and safety standards

• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules and resources

• Supervise and mentor foremen and site staff, promoting a positive and high-performing team culture

• Conduct frequent site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and maintain quality benchmarks

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure field accuracy

• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activity, address issues, and manage deliveries

• Lead on-site safety enforcement, conduct safety meetings, and ensure all compliance protocols are followed

• Support budget tracking, identify cost-saving measures, and ensure operational efficiency

• Maintain daily field logs, progress photos, and accurate jobsite documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent with commercial or institutional projects

• At least 2 years of experience managing Public Works or OSHPD/HCAI-regulated projects is required

• Strong working knowledge of construction processes, methods, and current building codes

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver projects on time and within budget

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external partners

• Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar

• OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications are a plus
