Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide personalized memory care support, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs) in a patient, compassionate manner.
• Document care, including vitals and behaviors, in resident records.
• Engage residents in specialized activities and routines to support memory and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to update care plans.
• Provides basic nursing and personal care and assistance to residents

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to interact with memory-care residents in a pleasant manner
• Knowledge and experience in dementia care required
• Knowledge of the general principles and practices of nursing

Requirements:

Minimum Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current, unrestricted Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
• Experience in dementia, Alzheimer’s, or specialized memory support settings.
• Certification in dementia training preferred
