Genesh, Inc. is a growing multi-unit restaurant company seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our accounting team in Lenexa, KS.

We are open to both experienced accounting professionals and motivated newer candidates with strong accounting knowledge and a willingness to learn. This position offers hands-on exposure to multi-entity and multi-state accounting operations in a fast-paced business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and vendor invoices
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close and journal entries
• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and reports
• Support financial reporting and Excel analysis
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records
• Assist with other accounting and office functions as needed

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred
• 1+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred, but willing to consider strong entry-level candidates
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Good Excel and computer skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented

Preferred Experience:

• Accounts Payable, reconciliations, or general ledger experience
• QuickBooks, Sage, Restaurant365, or similar accounting software
• Experience in restaurant, retail, franchise, or multi-location businesses is a plus
