About the Role
ShareSTAFF is hiring Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) for women’s health and obstetric assignments at a federal healthcare facility in Chinle, Arizona. This role provides comprehensive prenatal, labor & delivery, postpartum, and gynecologic care in a hospital-based setting serving a diverse and underserved patient population. Providers will operate independently under a non-personal services contract while collaborating with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure continuity of care.

What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients across the lifespan
- Manage prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Perform procedures within CNM scope, including first assist when applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and women’s health
- Respond to emergent situations and provide appropriate interventions
- Ensure compliance with federal, facility, and clinical guidelines
What You Bring – Required
- Active, unrestricted Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM/APRN) license (U.S. state or territory)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (U.S. state or territory)
- Board Certification through the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM)
- DEA license (Schedules II–V)
- Minimum 6 months of CNM clinical experience with no lapse greater than 6 months
- Current certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- CPR
- ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Completion of accredited nurse midwifery program
- NPDB (National Practitioner Data Bank) report required
- Strong communication and patient care skills
What You Bring – Preferred
- Prior Indian Health Services (IHS) or tribal health experience
- Experience in rural or underserved healthcare settings
- Labor & delivery or high-volume OB experience
- First Assist surgical training or experience
- Familiarity with federal healthcare systems and documentation standards
