Job Summary
The Lead Carpet Technician is responsible for overseeing carpet cleaning and restoration services, ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficient job execution, and excellent customer service. This role serves as the on-site leader for carpet projects, supporting technicians, maintaining equipment, and upholding company standards, safety protocols, and brand professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform residential and commercial carpet cleaning and restoration services
- Supervise and support carpet technicians on job sites
- Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding services, expectations, and care instructions
- Set up, operate, and maintain truck mounts and portable carpet cleaning equipment
- Perform pre-inspections and post-job walk-throughs with customers
- Identify carpet types, fibers, stains, and appropriate cleaning methods
- Monitor chemical usage and ensure proper mixing and application
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Enforce safety procedures and proper use of PPE
- Train and mentor new and existing technicians
- Report job issues, equipment concerns, or customer feedback to management
- Complete job documentation, photos, and required paperwork accurately
- Represent the company professionally at all times

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of carpet cleaning or restoration experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of carpet fibers, cleaning methods, and stain treatment
- Ability to operate truck-mounted and portable extraction systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Work Environment

**Other duties may include water/mold restoration assistance when needed.
