Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist for a reputable manufacturing company in Duarte. This role is responsible for setting up and operating 2-axis CNC lathe machines to produce precision plastic and non-metallic components while meeting strict quality standards and production deadlines.

CNC Lathe Machinist – 2nd Shift

Location: Duarte, CA
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate 2-axis CNC lathe machines for repeat production
Edit, load, and manage CNC programs
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
Identify and document non-conforming parts
Maintain production schedules and meet cycle time goals
Complete required production and MRP/ERP documentation
Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve processes
Perform secondary operations as needed
Monitor cycle times and drive efficiency improvements
Support continuous improvement initiatives and 5S standards
Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience
CNC programming and setup knowledge
Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
Experience with precision measuring tools
Strong math and problem-solving skills
ERP/MRP experience (JobBoss preferred)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
