CNC Machinist

Job Posting: CNC Machinist

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour

Duration: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist works closely with the Machine Shop Programmer and Engineers to ensure all fabricated and newly designed parts meet the company’s high standards for quality and precision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete machine set-ups independently without assistance.
• Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine appropriate tools, workholding, machine speeds, and feed rates.
• Handle all phases of part operations, including set-up, to achieve first article acceptance.
• Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspections and records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce part quality variation.
• Input data into visual management systems and communicate results to management.
• Continuously improve processes and eliminate waste.
• Participate in internal training as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Person Status (required due to export control regulations).
• Set up and programming experience. Open to paying up to $40 for programming experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with 3 and 5 axis HAAS machines.
• Experience with aluminum and carbon fiber machining.
• Understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.
• Proficient in using indicators, gauges, and plate inspection methods for precision machining.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and meet quality requirements.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to work in a loud environment and stand for extended periods.
• Available for mandatory weekends and overtime when required.
