Special Education Teacher for Setting 3 DCD/ASD Students

Job Details:

• Location: White Bear Lake, MN

• Dates: August 31, 2026 – June 4, 2027

• Type: Full-Time | W2 contract

• Caseload: Setting 3 Classroom (DCD/ASD focus)

Key Responsibilities

• Specialized Instruction: Design and deliver modified curriculum focused on functional academics, social skills, and life skills for students with DCD and ASD.

• IEP Leadership: Manage the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring all goals are measurable and data-driven.

• Classroom Management: Oversee a Setting 3 environment, utilizing positive behavioral interventions and sensory-friendly strategies.

• Staff Supervision: Lead and collaborate with classroom Paraprofessionals to ensure student safety and instructional consistency.

• Family Collaboration: Maintain regular, empathetic communication with families and caregivers to support student transition and home-to-school goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education.

• Licensure: Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education (Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS), ASD, or DCD licensure required).
