Gastroenterology Staff Physician
Harlingen VA Health Care Center Harlingen, Texas
Aptive Resources is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a respected federal healthcare system in Texas serving our nations Veterans. Position Highlights
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.
- No call, no weekends
- Patient Volume: 510 patients per day (subject to change)
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care
- Diagnose and manage GI conditions, with a focus on hepatitis care
- Develop and implement diagnostic and therapeutic care plans
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care and provide patient/family education
- Participate in clinical, educational, and research activities, as appropriate
Procedural Experience
- EGD, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Polypectomy, PEG placement, small bowel and liver biopsy
- Esophageal dilation, motility studies, band ligation, sclerotherapy
- Stent placement, laser therapies, and treatment of GI bleeding

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Completion of accredited GI Fellowship
- Active or eligible Texas medical license
- DEA certification
