Staff Cardiologist Beckley VA Medical Center
Location: Beckley, West Virginia, located in the Appalachian Mountains of Southern West Virginia
Schedule: Full-time | MondayFriday | No call, no weekends, no holidays

Position Description
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
- Interpret diagnostic studies including:
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Echocardiograms
- Holter monitors
- Exercise stress tests
- Provide consultative support in:
- Emergency Department
- Intensive Care Unit
- Assist with emergency cardiac care, including cardiac arrest response
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning
- Document patient care, including daily progress notes
- Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care as needed
- Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers
- Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities

Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency with board eligibility or certification in Cardiology
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Federal DEA license
- Current BLS certification
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
