\nKey Responsibilites: Provide direct and consultative instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing\n

\n\t
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)\n\t
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse communication and learning needs\n\t
• Utilize communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL), total communication, or auditory-verbal approaches\n\t
• Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and families\n\t
• Conduct assessments, track student progress, and maintain accurate documentation\n\t
• Support use of assistive technology and hearing devices in the classroom\n\t
• Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment\n

\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field\n\t
• Active North Carolina Professional Educator’s License\n\t
• DHH (Deaf & Hard of Hearing) endorsement through NCDPI\n\t
• Prior school-based or pediatric experience working with hearing-impaired students\n\t
• Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and special education best practices\n
