Position Summary:

Identifies and pursues new business opportunities in sustainability consulting, builds strategic partnerships and client relationships, and drives growth to meet or exceed organizational targets. Focuses on expanding services in ESG, social impact assessment, environmental due diligence, and related strategic interventions for companies and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching markets, analyzing trends, identifying new clients and opportunities in sustainability and ESG sectors.
  • Generating and pursuing leads, managing the sales process from initial contact through negotiation and closing deals.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing clients to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Developing growth strategies, setting targets, forecasting sales, and aligning initiatives with company objectives.
  • Preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and delivering tailored sustainability solutions.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, competitors, and new segments.
  • Providing transparent reporting on pipeline, progress, performance, and market feedback to management.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with teams to align business development with service delivery and strategic goals.
  • Representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote services and build networks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in the relevant industry (sustainability, ESG, environmental consulting, or related fields).
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets, exceeding quotas, developing new business opportunities, and building robust pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills for effective stakeholder engagement, contract negotiations, market analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, partnership development, closing complex deals, and monitoring industry trends, standards, and policies to inform commercial strategies.
  • Self-motivated with strong goal orientation, commercial acumen, and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement, CRM optimization, forecasting, and transparent reporting.
