Assistant Director Early Childhood Education Center
Location: The Learning Experience East Brunswick, NJ
Salary: $45,000$50,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday

The Learning Experience East Brunswick is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to support daily center operations, coach teachers, and help maintain a high-quality learning environment across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms.

This role is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys leadership responsibilities while remaining closely connected to classroom quality, staff development, and family engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the childcare center and classroom programs
• Assist with maintaining compliance with New Jersey licensing requirements
• Provide coaching and guidance to teaching staff
• Help manage staff scheduling and classroom ratio coverage
• Support enrollment tours and family communication
• Maintain student records and regulatory documentation
• Step into classrooms as needed to support staffing and transitions
• Partner with the Center Director to maintain program quality and consistency

Qualifications

• CDA credential required (Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
• Prior childcare or preschool leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey licensing standards
• Experience supporting teachers and classroom operations
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
