About this job

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in San Antonio, TX. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide inpatient rehabilitation and acute hospital care for patients with neuro and orthopedic needs. This role supports evaluation and treatment of patients across inpatient rehab, orthopedic, telemetry and ICU settings while working within established documentation and unit policies.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Texas Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment. No temporary licenses accepted.
  • Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab and/or acute hospital experience required.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience with Meditech documentation preferred.
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed. Floating policy will be discussed during orientation.
  • Ability to perform neuro and orthopedic inpatient evaluations and treatments. Acute care experience (ortho, telemetry, ICU) required.
  • Ability to comply with facility dress code and appearance policies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in inpatient rehab and/or acute hospital settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as NDT or brain injury specialization preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 0800–1700.
  • Start time no later than 8:00 a.m.
  • Must work two weekend shifts per month; will have a weekday off in exchange for weekend shifts.
  • Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
  • Call requirements to be discussed during interview.
  • Floating to other units as needed.

Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in a busy hospital environment. You will evaluate and treat neuro and orthopedic patients in inpatient rehab and manage acute care patients on ortho, telemetry and ICU units. Your work will support multidisciplinary teams and contribute to patient discharge planning and functional outcomes.
