The Career Pathway Coach provides employment readiness, social/emotional skills development, and overall access to resources and services to secure youth stabilization, retention, employment placement and success; recruitment and enrollment of eligible youth; collects, submits, and secures maintenance of participant files including all identification, tax and banking documentation; maintains participant files in Illinois Work Net including, but not limited to, application submission, case notes and assessment submission; oversees required participant activities including Employment 101 and Casey Life Skills assessment completion; identifies and partners with local employers for student placement; secures Worksite Agreements for each employer, and maintains accurate records; places students in age and ability appropriate employment opportunities with partnering employers; oversees participant progress throughout employment including successes and areas of improvement in accordance with participants’ career goals; collects and submits youth time sheets as required for student payroll; provides employability case management to enrolled participants including identification of career goals, resume assistance, employment application assistance and overall career development; attends monthly individual and team trainings; attends all mandatory CPC Trainings; maintains accurate and secure documentation for all activities including student files, time sheets, worksite agreements, training materials, student assessments, etc.; and; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in job development, career coaching, etc.
  • Experience working with students in educational settings
  • Strong organizational skills, including data collection and record keeping
