Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV Labor & Delivery position at a high-volume academic facility in Austin, TX, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and NRP certification.
Details
- Night shift position, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored antepartum beds
- High-volume delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
- Academic teaching service alongside large private OB practices
- 24-hour in-house attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Perinatal Transport Program in place
- Facility expanding mid-2026 with a new Women's Tower
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license valid in Texas currently in hand
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- NRP certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- US Social Security Number and US home address required
- Driver's License, full DOB, and full SSN required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Preferred candidates will have 3–5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume setting
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification is preferred
- Local candidates are accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect the travel pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
