Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Circulator role in a perioperative setting, requiring active Oregon RN licensure and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

  • Perioperative/Operating Room setting within a hospital environment
  • \n
  • Serves all patient populations across perioperative services
  • \n
  • 3x12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • \n
  • On-call responsibilities required on a regular scheduled rotation
  • \n
  • Travelers may be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff is floated
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license in the state of Oregon required
  • \n
  • OR RN license required
  • \n
  • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
  • \n
  • Minimum 3+ years of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and transition between duties without loss of efficiency
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse patient populations
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Functions as the primary circulating RN, serving as patient advocate throughout the intraoperative experience
  • \n
  • Responsibilities include surgical site verification, specimen management, surgical item accounting, medication administration, and infection prevention
  • \n
  • Monitors and maintains patient physiological systems including respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal status
  • \n
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and applies conflict resolution skills to maintain effective working relationships
  • \n
  • CNOR certification, Peri-op 101 coursework, and scrub experience are preferred
  • \n
  • CRASE training will be required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
  • \n
  • Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
  • \n
